Premature ejaculation is a type of sexual dysfunction that occurs when a man has an orgasm and releases (ejaculates) semen sooner than he or his partner would like. It often happens before or shortly after penetration during intercourse. According to Healthline and WebMD, here are 5 things you can do as a man to prevent premature or quick ejaculation.

1. Dietary changes.

According to Healthline, magnesium and zinc are important for sexual function and may help treat early ejaculation. Adding foods high in zinc and magnesium to your diet may help you manage premature ejaculation. Oysters, pumpkin seeds, soybeans, yogurt, spinach, almonds, kidney beans, chickpeas, sesame seeds, beef and lamb, dark chocolate, garlic, and peas are some examples of foods to eat.

2. Build up your muscles.

Sometimes premature ejaculation is caused by weak pelvic floor muscles. They might become stronger with kegel exercises. By halting your urine midstream, you can find the appropriate muscles to contract. For three seconds, squeeze them tightly, and then release them. Do this ten times, or at least three times a day.

3. The pause-squeeze method.

By allowing excitement to decline before the climax, the pause-squeeze technique may reduce the likelihood of premature ejaculation. Whenever you feel like ejaculating, pause and have your partner or you squeeze the end of your manhood where the head meets the shaft. Hold the squeeze for a few seconds until you no longer desire climax.

4. The stop-start method

By prolonging pleasure, the stop-start technique, commonly referred to as orgasm control or “edging,” might assist postpone the orgasm. Stop any sexual activities as soon as you feel the urge to ejaculate. Resuming sexual activities gradually after becoming less stimulated. To help you prevent quick ejaculation, repeat this procedure as often as necessary.

5. Wear a condom.

It may desensitize you enough so you can last longer.
